Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Robert Fröhler at BauSIM2024.
From September 23 to 26, 2024, the BauSIM 2024 took place at the TU Vienna. Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Robert Fröhler took part in the conference for building and plant simulation. The event provided a platform for the exchange of current research results and technological developments.
Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Robert Fröhler, Vice Director of Studies for the Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in Facility and Real Estate Management, was one of the approximately 120 participants in BauSIM 2024, which took place from September 23 to 26 at the Vienna University of Technology. This conference is considered one of the most important events for the simulation of buildings and their energy systems.
FOCUS ON INTERDISCIPLINARY EXCHANGE
The conference was organized by IBPSA-DACH and provided a platform for interdisciplinary exchange between researchers, developers and users. Over 100 scientific contributions were presented, showing how simulation technologies can improve the energy and ecological efficiency of buildings.
The IBPSA-DACH general meeting also took place during the conference. This association promotes the exchange of knowledge in the field of thermal-energetic, ecological and plant engineering simulation and strengthens the collaboration between research and practice.
INSIGHTS AND NEW INSPIRATION
“BauSIM 2024 was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas on current developments and trends in building and plant simulation. Particularly exciting was the interdisciplinary character of the conference, which offers numerous new impulses for work in this field,” said Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Robert Fröhler after the event.
The conference contributions will be published here shortly.
PREVIEW OF UPCOMING EVENTS
BauSIM 2024 impressively demonstrated how simulation technologies can contribute to the optimization of buildings and energy systems. The event provided numerous opportunities for exchange between theory and practice. Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Robert Fröhler is already looking forward to the next BauSIM in 2026.
ABOUT IBPSA-DACH
IBPSA-DACH is the German-speaking regional group of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). Its goal is to promote the exchange between experts who work with the simulation of buildings and their energy systems in order to advance the energy-efficient and sustainable design of buildings.
