Successful final presentation of the practical project at Platzhirsch Kufstein in the presence of managing director Hackl and his team.

A practice project group from the Master's program in Facility and Real Estate Management is supporting the real estate specialist Hackl Immobilien in the digitalization of property management processes.

In cooperation with the property management company Hausverwaltung Hackl, a practical project was initiated at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol to support the company in the digitalization of processes in property management. The team of students from the Facility and Real Estate Management degree program, led by Asc. Prof. (FH) Mag. (FH) Emanuel Stocker from the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, took on the tasks of analyzing and developing recommendations for action with regard to digitalization.

Hackl Immobilien is an Austrian service provider specializing in real estate: the company's extensive portfolio includes buying, selling, valuation, rental and marketing, as well as the creation of energy performance certificates and property management services.

The tasks for the team were to further advance the segment of property management in terms of digitization of operational and commercial property management. There was also interest in obtaining a market overview of innovations and technologies (PropTechs) that could bring innovations and process improvements.

ANALYSIS OF THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

In the first step of the project work, various software solutions for property management in the DACH region were compared and evaluated using a cost-utility analysis. The students then created their own handbook for optimized use in an open exchange with the company's contact persons, Sabine Volderauer and Cornelia Kratzer.

DIGITIZATION MANUAL

In the run-up to the implementation, the challenges facing the company had already been jointly evaluated. Even initial recommendations for action and individual steps towards handling the software, project management tools and restructuring internal processes could be agreed and implemented directly. The handbook, which was specially tailored to the company, was created by the students within a semester, thanks to the excellent cooperation and open exchange with the managing director and his team.

This is also confirmed by employee Cornelia Kratzer, who was impressed by the speed of the project work: “After just two meetings with the students from the Kufstein Tirol University of Applied Sciences, we were able to implement the first recommendations for action in real-life operations!”

SUCCESSFUL CLOSING PRESENTATION

The final presentation was held in the presence of managing director Raimund Hackl and his employee Cornelia Kratzer and included the presentation of all topics of the manual as well as a summary of innovations and PropTechs. Afterwards, the students were invited to a final meal at the Platzhirsch restaurant in Kufstein. Here, the results were discussed and a toast was made to the success of the practical project and the digital transformation of Hackl property management.
