Dr. Mario Situm clarifies the economic challenges of the future for the participants during his presentation.

On October 11 and 12, 2024, the Obereder GmbH Entrepreneur Day took place in Grundlsee under the theme “Fit for the Future”. Mario Situm, Director of Studies at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, presented practical approaches in the field of change management and corporate succession.

The Obereder GmbH Entrepreneur Day brought together experts, entrepreneurs and decision-makers to discuss the key challenges of the modern business world. Prof. (FH) DDr. Mario Situm, Director of Studies of the bachelor's degree program in Business Management and the master's degree program in Corporate Transformation Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, gave a lecture on the topic “Change Management - in the future, change will be the new ‘normal’”. In view of the growing dynamics in the business world, Situm emphasized the necessity of actively shaping change. In particular, technological and social trends, such as digitalization and demographic changes, are forcing companies to adapt flexibly and quickly. In his lecture, Situm presented, among other things, the well-known model of Kurt Lewin and made it clear that successful change management requires more than just technological adjustments, because it is primarily about integrating the people in the company.

HEINZ GOSSMANN ABOUT CHANGE MANAGEMENT IN THE AUTOMOBILE
 INDUSTRY

Following the keynote speech, Prof. (FH) Situm interviewed Heinz Gossmann. He took over the interim management of Lindner GmbH car dealership in a phase of acute financial and organizational crisis. Gossmann reported on how he led the company back to profitability through a comprehensive change management process. He described in the interview that he first carried out a detailed analysis of the existing structures and procedures in order to identify weaknesses. He succeeded in initiating the necessary changes by taking targeted measures such as optimizing internal processes, building agile structures and realigning sales. Gossmann emphasized that the success of the change process depended largely on actively involving the entire team and creating clear communication structures. He was able to minimize resistance and strengthen employee engagement through regular feedback and an open culture of exchange. His report highlighted both the challenges and opportunities that arise in the context of crises and change projects. Today, Autohaus Lindner GmbH is back on a solid footing and, thanks to the consistently implemented change management, has created a sustainable basis for future growth.

PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE FOR CORPORATE MANAGEMENT
