The Mario Kart station was one of the many highlights during the first kubinight.

The kubi - Kufstein Library for Science and Leisure really got going after closing time at the beginning of February. True to the motto of Music & Gaming, there were many other exciting highlights in addition to a DJ workshop and a Mario Kart tournament.

With the aim of getting young people between the ages of 12 and 14 interested in the library, kubi held its first kubinight at the beginning of February with a program focusing on music and gaming. A total of 35 visitors took part in the event and were inspired by the wide range of activities on offer at the kubi.

VARIED PROGRAM

There was a DJ workshop, a Mario Kart tournament with a Nintendo Switch practice station, drinks, snacks and a popcorn station. The highlight was a digital actionbound rally in which the young people were able to discover the kubi in all its facets and solve tasks relating to the library. This was followed by an award ceremony for the respective stations and the estimation question about the kubi.

SUCCESSFUL START

Katharina Juffinger, head of the kubi library, looks back on a successful event: “I am delighted with the incredible response from the young people and the outstanding commitment of our project group. The kubinight provided a unique opportunity to experience our library in a new and fascinating way. From interactive DJ workshops to rousing gaming competitions and digital rallies, the event offered a variety of activities that encouraged the curiosity and creativity of our young visitors. In addition, together with the project group, it was possible to present the wealth of our library collection and show that the library is by no means a boring place.” Project manager Carina Hochradl is also pleased with the successful redesign of the former kubidays: “We are delighted that the new kubinight format has been so well received by the young people and will probably become a permanent feature of the kubi's offer.”

In the spirit of sustainability, the event was held as a Green Event Tirol.
