Director of Studies Prof. (FH) Dr. Michael Kohlegger teaches the digital skills and knowledge required to be successful in the dynamic world of technology in a practical and personal way.

The established part-time Master's degree program Web Communication & Information Systems (WCIS) at the Kufstein University will now operate under the new name Web Engineering & IT Solutions (WES).

The outstanding quality of the degree program and its innovative strength remain unchanged. The Master's degree program in Web Engineering & IT Solutions focuses on building skills for planning and developing complex web-based applications, as well as coordinating, consulting or leading functions in the field of technical management. Typical features of this degree program include the development of skills for recognizing patterns and procedures and for quickly familiarizing oneself with new subject areas. The core of the qualification profile and thus the primary educational goal is all-round knowledge of web-based systems at a high level. Such systems can be positioned on the public web (cloud services, content management systems, eCommerce systems, etc.) or within the company (ECMS, CRM, portal systems).

“The Master's degree program is under constant review in order to meet the demands of the job market,” says Director of Studies Prof. (FH) Dr. Michael Kohlegger. “The new title is intended to give students an initial idea of what to expect during the four-semester course. The degree program prepares students for the digital future and provides them with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in the dynamic world of technology.”

The course content can be individualized by means of elective subjects. Thanks to the unique interlinking of content with four Master's degree courses, students learn to work in an interdisciplinary manner during their studies and are thus prepared for the challenges of heterogeneous fields of work. To make it easier for people with different educational biographies to start the degree program, an optional preparatory course is offered.
