The Open House at FH Kufstein Tirol offered exciting insights.

Experience studying: At the Open House, 265 visitors immersed themselves in everyday life on campus at the Kufstein Uni - with information stands, lectures, lab tours and the Master Lounge.

On April 5, 2025, the FH Kufstein Tirol once again opened its doors to anyone interested in a degree program. 265 visitors explored the campus, found out about the 28 degree programs, attended lectures, discovered laboratories and learned new things in taster lectures.

COMPREHENSIVE INFORMATION FOR THE ENTIRE STUDY PERIOD

In addition to advice on study options, visitors received comprehensive information on admission to the Kufstein Uni and organizational topics such as the integrated semester abroad. The higher education institution maintains partnerships with 235 international universities worldwide - from Vietnam to Madrid to Georgia. The International Relations Office (IRO) team was on hand to answer any questions about studying abroad.

A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES

Campus tours, laboratory experiments and taster lectures provided a practical insight into the degree program. The tours led through all four parts of the building - including the Automation and Makers Lab, where 3D printers in action offered exciting insights into technical disciplines.

“I particularly like the commitment of our students. They not only provided interested parties with expert advice, but also gave authentic insights into their everyday life as students - a real added value for anyone thinking about a degree program at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol,” emphasizes Lea Meinhard, MA, who works as an Event Specialist at the University of Applied Sciences and was the main organizer of the Open House.

I PARTICULARLY LIKE THE COMMITMENT OF OUR STUDENTS. THEY NOT ONLY PROVIDED THE INTERESTED PARTIES WITH COMPETENT ADVICE, BUT ALSO GAVE AUTHENTIC INSIGHTS INTO THEIR EVERYDAY LIFE AS STUDENTS.

Verena Praschberger is studying for a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Communication Management at the FH Kufstein Tirol and supervised her degree program's stand at the event. She adds: “It was great to see how interested and motivated people were - the discussions were really fun.”

EXCLUSIVE INSIGHTS INTO THE MASTER'S DEGREE PROGRAMS

For anyone specifically interested in a Master's degree program, the Master Lounge offered an opportunity for individual advice: after registering, participants were given a personal appointment - either on site or online via MS Teams.

Prospective Master's students were also able to obtain specific information at the degree program stands and in taster lectures and talk directly to the Directors of Studies.

For example, at the Digital Marketing master's degree program stand. “Many professionals in the marketing sector also have to work on Saturdays and are reluctant to choose an English-language Master's program. We therefore recommend our Digital Marketing master's degree program, which we offer in German and full-time,” explains Daniel Seebacher, MA, Study Support Coordinator at FH Kufstein Tirol.

He adds: “Many prospective students are unsure which organizational form of the ‘Digital Marketing’ degree program is best for them. At the stand and in the Master Lounge, we can respond to their individual realities and give them the best possible advice.” The full-time degree program also offers suitable conditions for the self-employed or those who work at weekends.

SATISFIED SUMMARY

“The Open House was a great success! In addition to the campus tours, the open labs, presentations and taster lectures were met with great interest. It is important to us to offer visitors a realistic insight into our practice-oriented education,” says Lea Meinhard.
