Pop-up events in Innsbruck came to a successful end

The business project, which was launched in 2019 by students of the international Master's degree program Sports, Culture & Event Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol in cooperation with Innsbruck Tourismus, officially started on September 8, 2023 with an unannounced flash mob in the old town of Innsbruck and ended with a performance by the Stubai Alphorn Players in the heart of the city of Innsbruck. Tourists and locals were given a varied insight into the world of the jazz band Fritto Misto and the unique art of solo musician Ultramarinblau, for example, thanks to the diverse events and different artists.

With the representation of the motto “Urban Alpine” and the diversity of the individual events, the diversity of the region should be represented and give visitors and locals a unique impression of Innsbruck.

SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION

With the exception of one canceled event due to rain, a variety of activities were offered on four Fridays from September to October. Thanks to the otherwise summery and dry weather, the open-air performances went off without a hitch. The varied program was very popular with a diverse group of spectators and also met with great approval and enthusiasm from artists, spectators and an independent audience on social media.

Thanks to different focal points, a different audience was addressed at each location and the opportunity to enjoy a free attraction for all passers-by was made possible. The wide range of positive feedback opens up the possibility of transferring the organization of the Pop-Up Events Innsbruck 2024 to a new team of students. This means that the series of events can continue to be creatively influenced and successfully continued.
