Weber + Partner in Markkleeberg hired the students to create an energy concept.

In February 2024, students from the Facility Management & Real Estate degree program at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol presented the results of the energy concept developed in the months before to the representatives of Weber + Partner.

The energy concept was developed as part of a practice-oriented seminar conducted by Prof. (FH) Dr.-Ing. Robert Fröhler, in the bachelor's degree program in Facility Management & Real Estate Management. Under his expert guidance and in close collaboration with Weber + Partner, one of Europe's leading planning and implementation companies for production, logistics and industrial buildings, the students developed various solutions for a more efficient heat supply for listed buildings, apartment buildings and terraced housing.

 SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH RENEWABLE ENERGIES

The forward-thinking design of the buildings in the study, which includes the use of renewable energy, is a significant step towards a more sustainable future. By reducing environmental pollution and decreasing dependence on fossil fuels, this project is a clear statement of environmentally conscious action and innovation.

SYNERGIES FOR PRACTICE-ORIENTED PROGRESS

This successful practical project illustrates the value of collaboration between educational institutions and companies directly from the business world. These collaborations contribute significantly to the practical training and support of students. The participants make it possible to illustrate the theoretical knowledge of the prospective young professionals in real-life applications and at the same time establish contacts with future graduates in the industries.
