The German A1.2 Bridge Workshop is organized and delivered by the International Business School in cooperation with the Language Center of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.
Course materials, assignments, and supplementary resources are available on our Weblearn platform (Moodle).

Program
German A1.2 Bridge workshop
Course Content
Applied communication training
The workshop focuses on common, real-life situations (e.g., introductions, shopping, directions, appointments, university-related basics).
Enhancing the four language skills (CEFR A1 in preparation for A2)
The activities strengthen and consolidate:
- Speaking and writing (simple sentences and short texts)
- Listening and reading comprehension (everyday topics, short messages, forms)
The language level aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at A1.
Strengthening core grammar and vocabulary
Key grammatical and linguistic competencies are reviewed, practiced, and consolidated through communicative activities with a focus on high-frequency vocabulary and useful expressions for everyday and campus life.

Didactic Concept
The workshop is characterized by:
- high levels of interaction and plenty of speaking practice
- changing group constellations and a wide variety of task formats
- clear guidance, repetition, and supportive feedback to strengthen accuracy and confidence
The experienced teaching team from the Language Center provides an engaging learning experience that helps you strengthen your German skills step by step, connect with fellow students, and progress smoothly toward the next level (German A2).
Target Group
The program is designed for:

Students with basic German skills at the A1 level who seek to strengthen their competencies in preparation for the A2 level.

Bachelor’s and master’s students from programs taught in English who seek to improve their German for effective integration and basic communication in university and everyday life in Austria.
