German A2.2 Bridge Workshop

Course Content

Applied communication training

The workshop focuses on common situations and topics that lead toward B1 (e.g., studies and organization, living, work and internships, health, free time, travel, media, and public institutions).

Enhancing communicative competencies (CEFR A2 in preparation for B1)

The activities strengthen and consolidate:

  • Speaking und writing (communicating, argumenting and expressing basic opinions more cohesively)
  • Listening and reading comprehension (longer, structured reports; filtering central information)

The language level aligns with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) at A2 and prepares systematically for expectations at the B1 level..

Grammar and vocabulary development for B1 level

Key concepts are reviewed, practiced, and expanded (e.g., dependent clauses with weil/dass/wenn, separable and inseparable verbs, prepositions, tense overview, comparatives). Emphasis is placed on the development of communicative competencies relevant to academic and professional life.
