Mag. Peter Trost

Crisis, risk and security manager

Peter Trost, a graduate in Business Administration, was appointed lieutenant in the Austrian Armed Forces in 1993 and was involved in a wide range of foreign assignments (e.g. engineer officer of the Austrian battalion on the Golan Heights/Syria, UN mission in Ethiopia and Eritrea, etc.).
Back in Austria, he was entrusted with the agendas of the deputy head of the NATO division and the national representative for the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council within the Military Policy/BMLV department. From 2006 to 2008, he served as security advisor to the Chief of Mission/International Organization of Migration in East Timor.

Back in Europe, he worked as Director Special Projects in the aviation industry. Since 2011, Peter has been responsible for security at international financial service providers. Most recently, he has turned his attention to crisis and security management, particularly in connection with the war in Ukraine.
He has worked as a lecturer and trainer for Colorado State University/USA, the University of York/GBR, the Center for International Peace Operations/DEU, the University of Applied Sciences FH Campus Wien, the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein, the UN Training Center/Bundeswehr, the Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento Sant'Anna/ITA, among others.
