KISMET founder Strohl provided practical insights into the use of AI in financial analysis.

How can artificial intelligence change the financial sector? What role does it play in the analysis of annual and sustainability reports? These and other questions were addressed by AI expert Helena Strohl in her guest lecture at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.

In mid-March 2025, Helena Strohl was a guest at Prof. (FH) Dr. Dominika Galkiewicz's Trends in Finance seminar. The founder of KISMET helps companies integrate artificial intelligence into their processes in a targeted manner. Students in the International Business Studies and IP degree programs gained valuable first-hand insights and were able to ask her questions directly.

In this fast-moving field, Strohl provided students with in-depth basic knowledge. The content ranged from the analysis of extensive annual and sustainability reports to efficient prompting techniques. She used examples from companies in the Austrian Traded Index (ATX), Austria's most important stock market index, and the DAX, which includes the 40 largest listed companies in Germany. With her practical approach and interactive presentation style, she succeeded in taking the audience on an exciting journey into the world of AI-supported financial analysis.

INTELLIGENT DATA ANALYSIS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Companies are under increasing pressure to report transparently on their sustainability measures. However, sustainability reports are often complex and extensive. This is precisely where artificial intelligence (AI) comes in: Helena Strohl used practical examples to show how AI sifts through extensive amounts of data, recognizes patterns and delivers valuable insights. This enables companies to make their sustainability strategy more efficient and make informed decisions.

WHY AI SKILLS ARE DECISIVE IN THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY

The world of finance is increasingly shaped by data and algorithms. At the same time, artificial intelligence has developed from a trend into an indispensable tool. “Those who understand the possibilities of AI can actively shape the future of the financial industry,” says Helena Strohl.

The guest lecture made it clear: the combination of AI and sustainability opens up enormous potential for innovative solutions in the financial industry. The task now is to seize this potential. Those who learn to use AI in a targeted way early on will help shape the financial world of tomorrow.
