On June 28, 2024, the EXPOnline livestream was broadcast and with it the presentations of the more than 20 practical projects of the degree program in the summer semester 2024.
EXPOnline is a practical project of the part-time bachelor's degree program in Sport, Culture & Event Management (SCEM) and aims to present all practical projects of the bachelor's and master's degree programs SCEM of a semester. To this end, the 23 practical project groups create videos about their work, which are presented to the public on the UAS website. As a final presentation, selected practical projects, including an extended supporting program, will be presented in a livestream at the end of the semester. In this year's livestream on June 28, 2024, the live raffles of two competitions were used as a novelty. The project team consisting of Elena Karner, Adrian Moldovan, Severin Heidlberger and project manager Mathias Mündl organized the preparations for the livestream in the summer semester and planned the overall event.
COOPERATION PARTNERS AND TWO COMPETITIONS
Participation in two different competitions was possible until June 27. Two tickets for a Shelter Boy concert and two tickets for the Austria Goes Zrce festival were raffled off. This year's livestream lasted 75 minutes and was watched by around 70 participants. The practical project team welcomed Martin Reitstätter, CEO of New Generation Events & Touristik GmbH, as an interview guest and cooperation partner for EXPOnline. In the online interview, the festival manager talked about the founding of the Austria Goes Zrce festival, the challenges and future opportunities of the festival.
SELECTED PRACTICAL PROJECTS
Six selected practical projects were presented in more detail as part of the livestream. In interviews with the students in the groups, questions were answered and reports were given on how the planning went, what challenges the students faced, what improvements would be necessary for the next project and what the most exciting and successful experiences were.
The live interview with the project manager of the Indie Sunset practical project deserves a special mention. The music festival, which would have taken place for the 14th time in May 2024, was canceled by the organizer, the Genussmittel association, and the practical project group due to a lack of ticket sales in advance. The interview addressed the problem of ticket sales, how the student group dealt with this challenge and what the decision to cancel meant for the workload.
EXPONLINE TO LOOK UP
The livestream recording can be viewed on the FH website. The video presentations of all practical projects from the Sport, Culture & Event Management degree program are also available to browse on the website. The next EXPOnline will take place on 24.01.2025.
