- Practical Project

The annual science festival aims to inform the public about current scientific developments. To this end, scientists give talks in public places such as pubs and cafés. In Kufstein, the festival took place at BAU!
Students on the full-time Master's degree course in Sports, Culture & Event Management organized the Pint of Science Festival in Kufstein for the first time in mid-May as part of a practical project. The event took place at BAU! Kufstein, interested citizens and committed scientists came together to celebrate knowledge, discoveries and innovations.
TWO EVENINGS ON A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY
On two exciting evenings, almost 30 people took part in interesting presentations and interactive discussions. The first evening was held in English, so the audience was very diverse. Renowned scientists gave insights into their latest research and informed about current developments. On the second evening, which was held in Englisch, locals were able to explore scientific topics in their native language.
INVOLVING THE PUBLIC
The Pint of Science Festival worked to break down the barriers between complex research and the general public's understanding by making science accessible and fun for everyone. Participants had the opportunity to meet the scientists and ask questions in the informal and relaxed environment of the local pub, allowing them to delve deeper into any scientific topic.
OUTLOOK
The enthusiasm of the participants is an excellent omen for the next Pint of Science events in Kufstein. In fact, further festivals are already being planned that will appeal to a larger number of visitors and expand the number of scientific topics.
