Verena Riedlmaier, external lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, specializing in automotive marketing.
Verena Riedlmaier, a former student and now an external lecturer, provides fascinating insights into her time as a student at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, her professional career and her teaching activities.
Verena Riedlmaier completed two part-time degree programs at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol: a Bachelor's in Marketing & Communication Management (2018) and a Master in Digital Marketing (2020). Her passion for marketing was the deciding factor in her choice of degree program. At the same time, she gained valuable practical experience in a marketing agency.
STUDENT LIFE HIGHLIGHTS
Riedlmaier has particularly fond memories of her time as a student – especially the practical projects. One memorable experience was developing a website with her student group, including planning and implementing Google Ads campaigns. “That was the most challenging, but also the most educational task of the semester,” she says.
Another highlight was the study trip to Sweden. Her visit to the Volvo headquarters and the insights into the brand strategy provided by the head of the Volvo Experience sparked an even greater enthusiasm for the automotive industry.
Full speed ahead into the automotive industry
During her time working at an agency specializing in automotive marketing, Riedlmaier was able to deepen her expertise in this field. After completing her master's degree, she joined Porsche Holding, where she works in the area of customer relationship management at Porsche Informatik.
Today, she passes on her knowledge to students: for almost three years, she has been teaching the elective course “Automotive Marketing” at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. Her experience in the industry is incorporated directly into her teaching.
TEACHING WITH PASSION
In addition to her work at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, Riedlmaier now also teaches at the Seeburg Private University. For her, the personal development of students is the main focus: “It gives me great joy to see how students develop. With my empathy as a former student, I want to support them on their way in the best possible way.”
Her teaching is based on an interactive approach: “Learning by doing is most effective. I ask the students to create campaigns themselves and think practically to implement their own ideas.”
In conclusion, she encourages students: “Be open and never stop learning!” She says that this attitude is her personal key to success and has helped her to continuously develop professionally and personally.
