Participants in the international BIP Week (Albstadt Sigmaringen Higher Education Institution or university, KAMK University of Applied Sciences, and Kufstein University of Applied Sciences) after presenting the results of their AI project work.

AI Strategies for the Global Market: Twelve students from the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol worked together with partners from Germany and Finland in Sigmaringen to develop innovative solutions for Gühring KG and attended the 3rd AI Symposium, which featured a distinguished lineup of speakers.

The International BIP Week (Blended Intensive Program) from May 4 to 8, 2026, focused on a real-world challenge posed by the hidden champion Gühring KG. Blended Intensive Programs are short-term international programs under the Erasmus+ framework that combine digital collaboration with an on-site phase.

IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO ORGANIZE AND FACILITATE THIS EXCHANGE OF IDEAS.

Prof. (FH) Dr. Peter Dietrich

Director of Studies, Bachelor's and Master's in International Business Management

Working in multinational teams, the students focused on strategically deploying artificial intelligence to effectively filter out relevant market signals from background noise. The goal was to make decision-making processes more efficient in a volatile global environment through the use of chatbots and specialized AI systems.

INTERCULTURAL SYNERGIES AND INNOVATION

The collaboration between Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences, Finland’s KAMK University of Applied Sciences, and students in the Bachelor’s and master's degree programs in International Business Management at Kufstein University of Applied Sciences in Tyrol fostered an intensive exchange of knowledge.

“It is a privilege to organize and facilitate this exchange of ideas. We experienced a week filled with deep insights and the opportunity to build valuable professional networks,” emphasizes program director Peter Dietrich. The diverse cultural backgrounds served as a catalyst for creative solution approaches, which were ultimately presented to the clients of Gühring KG.

AI SYMPOSIUM AND CORPORATE CULTURE

A particular highlight was attending the 3rd AI Symposium at the Sigmaringen Innovation Campus. Along with over 200 attendees, the participants gained insights into current developments and networked with experts. The students summed it up: “The week was something very special because we worked on real business projects. The experience showed us how AI systems can concretely help organizations identify market trends and competitors more efficiently.”

A field trip to TRIGEMA W. Grupp KG rounded out the program and made the week an inspiring experience overall.
