International teamwork, exciting insights into the world of artificial intelligence and cultural exchange: students from the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences gained valuable experience in Finland.
In November, ten students from the Bachelor's and Master's degree program in International Business Studies at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences were given the opportunity to take part in a Blended Intensive Program in Kajaani, Finland. The program, funded by Erasmus, focused on the practical application of AI in small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, it gave the participants the opportunity to exchange ideas with students from 20 nations and experience cultural diversity.
PRACTICAL INSIGHTS INTO AI TECHNOLOGIES
The challenge of setting up a fictitious start-up and exploring the potential of modern AI tools was at the heart of the project. The aim was to find innovative approaches to making certain business processes more efficient. A particular highlight was a visit to the Lumi supercomputer, one of the most powerful computers in Europe.
INTERCULTURAL COOPERATION AND DIVERSITY
With participants from 20 different countries, the project provided an excellent opportunity for international exchange. The mixed teams made it possible to get to know a wide range of perspectives. In addition to the content developed for the project, teamwork, project management skills and understanding of different cultures were also expanded.
A DIVERSE PROGRAM
The supporting program rounded off the intensive project work. In addition to the group work and excursions, the participants had the opportunity to get to know Finnish culture. Activities such as a visit to a husky farm and a typical Christmas dinner at the Haapala Brewery offered an exciting change, even though the snow-covered landscape typical of Finland was missing.
A VALUABLE EXPERIENCE
The project not only offered insights into the subject matter, but also promoted the personal development of the participants. The experiences gained help to broaden the students' perspectives and prepare them for future challenges in their professional lives.
