The postgraduate General Management MBA program with a focus on Business Psychology puts the final polish on participants' leadership and management skills.

The International Business School at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol is expanding its portfolio with a new focus area for its General Management MBA. The part-time MBA with a focus on Business Psychology prepares participants for the psychological aspects of the working world.

Starting in the winter semester 2025/26, the four-semester General Management MBA with a focus on Business Psychology will be open to interested students. In a part-time organizational form, participants will acquire solid business-related fundamentals and management skills as well as comprehensive psychological expertise in various areas, including leadership psychology and social psychology. After successfully completing their master's thesis, graduates will receive a Master of Business Administration degree. The program comprises 120 ECTS credits. The MBA offers tailor-made continuing education for executives, management consultants, HR and change managers, and practitioners from all industries who wish to gain additional qualifications for leadership tasks within the framework of a scientifically sound yet application-oriented program.

COURSE CONTENT AND ACQUISITION OF SKILLS

“In addition to sound management knowledge, the modern working world requires a deep understanding of the psychological factors that influence the behavior of employees, teams, and organizations,” says Prof. (FH) Dr. Kristina Kampfer, Scientific Director and Deputy Program Director of Business Administration, Leadership & Business Management. “With our recognized MBA degree, we teach the practical application of psychological theories, models, and methods, enabling participants to shape employee development psychologically and successfully support digital transformation in companies.”

In selected modules, and particularly from the third semester onwards, the application of general theoretical concepts is explored in greater depth. Case studies from the participants' own companies and project work further support this in-depth learning. The master's thesis offers participants the opportunity to work intensively on a specific topic from the field of business psychology, taking into account both economic and psychological perspectives. The personal support provided throughout the General Management MBA program is also outstanding. Participants can contact their personal academic advisor in the evenings and on weekends.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To participate in the program, applicants must have a university degree (with 180 ECTS credits) and at least one year of relevant professional experience. In exceptional cases, admission may be granted to applicants without a university degree if they can demonstrate at least three years of relevant professional experience as equivalent. The costs amount to EUR 3.950,- per semester plus an examination fee of EUR 350,- per semester.
