Mid-October, students from the Master's program in Sports, Culture & Event Management, together with Innsbruck Marketing, organized a successful event as part of the Wilten district festival. The forest tramway was the focus of the event, combining culture, nature and community.

On October 19, students of the Master's program in Sports, Culture & Event Management, supported by supervisor Bettina Anker, organized an event in collaboration with Innsbruck Marketing as part of the district festival in Wilten, Innsbruck. Under the motto “A ride for all the senses”, numerous visitors and residents of Wilten and Igls experienced a day full of adventures on the traditional forest tram line 6.

DIVERSE PROGRAMME PROVIDED VARIETY

The tram ride was accompanied by music from artists such as cellist Jakob Mitterer, flautist Dominika Hučka and singers from the Tiroler Landestheater, creating a special atmosphere during the journey. Along the route, the various stops offered a wide range of activities. From guided tours of Ambras Castle to yoga in the countryside, led by Lea Stoll from Yoga Art Innsbruck, and a barefoot trail in Tantegert, there was something for everyone.

CULINARY AND CULTURAL PLEASURE

The varied program at Igls train station, with culinary delights from the Igls volunteer fire brigade and Bernadette Blümel, musical performances and an art exhibition, also attracted many visitors. The Söller Plattler and Caroline Müller provided musical and dance entertainment that perfectly rounded off the event.

POSITIVE RESPONSES

All participants, both organizers and visitors, were very satisfied with the smooth running of the event. The response was extremely positive. Many participants emphasized how much they enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity to experience the forest tramway again.

The event impressively demonstrated that the forest tram is not only a nostalgic means of transport, but also a connecting element between the districts and nature. The organizers would like to thank all participants and visitors for a thoroughly successful day as part of the Wilten district festival.
