Magdalena on the couch at kubi: Formerly at the starting gate, now in the middle of her degree program—with clear goals and a new perspective.
Magdalena swapped her racing suit for a lecture room: In episode 3 of Stories behind Students, she explains why she ended her skiing career – and how her degree program at the FH Kufstein Tirol is opening up new perspectives for her.
For years, Magdalena was an integral part of the Austrian Ski Federation (ÖSV), collecting European Cup points and standing at the top of the podium as a youth champion. In the third installment of Stories behind Students, the student explains why she ended her career as a ski racer—and what drives her to break new ground.
The 21-year-old from Neustift in the Stubai Valley first stood on skis at the age of two – a family hobby that became her vocation. In this interview, Magdalena talks about the pressure of top-level sport, her greatest successes, and the moment she decided to change direction. She is now studying Marketing & Communication Management at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol, bringing her determination from the slopes to the lecture hall.
What remains? A love of skiing. What has changed? Her perspective on the big picture. Magdalena demonstrates that success is more than just a ranking—it is also the ability to let go and courageously start anew.
