As part of an excursion, students from the International Business Management program gained exciting insights into the world of logistics. The Kufstein-based company Top Logistik opened its doors, minds – and even gave them access to the table tennis table.

First-semester students in the Bachelor's program in International Business Management visited the company Top Logistik in Kufstein. Martin Soitner (authorized signatory) and Markus Hauser (HR Management & Marketing) presented the logistics company, which left a lasting impression on the students with its 100 employees and a family-like yet performance-oriented culture.

INSIGHTS, CONVERSATIONS AND TEAM SPIRIT IN ACTION

Following the presentation, the students exchanged ideas directly with the dispatchers in small groups. Topics included the varied nature of everyday work, Europe-wide coordination, time pressure and the importance of teamwork and communication. "Every day brings new challenges – that's what makes our job so exciting," said one dispatcher.

Finally, the students discussed the skills that particularly distinguish dispatchers. During the break, cornhole, billiards and table tennis ensured a good atmosphere. An inspiring excursion to Top Logistik Kufstein, where the students gained valuable insights into the world of work.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION AS A RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

"Excursions like these are the icing on the cake of a practice-oriented education," emphasises program director Prof. (FH) Dr. Peter Dietrich. "Our students experience first-hand how diverse, challenging and at the same time fulfilling working life in a dynamic company like Top Logistik can be. It requires not only specialist knowledge, resilience, personal responsibility and team spirit, but also strong communication skills, organisational talent, intercultural sensitivity and the ability to react flexibly to changing situations every day."
