Experience the world of business projects of the Sports, Culture & Event Management Program.


What exactly is Expo?

The EXPO is a platform where all business projects of the Sports, Culture & Event Management Program of the winter semester 2023/2024 are being presented. This year, the EXPO will once again take place in the form of an MS Teams livestream on 26.01.2024 from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

You can look forward to exciting business projects from the field of Sports, Culture & Event Management in this livestream. Selected project groups will be interviewed about their practical project. There will also be a speaker, Mr. Patrick Reiter, former professional judoka and current CEO of Polysport GmbH.

The EXPO creates an opportunity to get to know the business projects and learn more about the diversity of the Sport, Culture & Event Management degree program. This is the right place for you if you are studying at the FH Kufstein Tirol, would like to study or are simply curious about how the business projects in the curriculum work.

Indie Sunset

The Indie Sunset Festival Vol. 14 is a business project of the full-time Bachelor's program in Sports, Culture & Event Management at FH Kufstein Tirol. On May 4, 2024, the Kufstein City Park will be transformed into a festival site and visitors will party into the sunset with bands from the indie/rock genre and numerous side events.


Kufstein Darts Games

This year's Kufstein Darts Games will take place as a one-day darts tournament in the Kulturfabrik Kufstein accompanied by side events and giving amateur and club players the opportunity to show their talent and skills.


Kufstein24

Kufstein 24 is a sports event offering a 24-hour free sports program in Kufstein for all residents of Kufstein and the surrounding area. From 19 April at 17:00 to 20 April at 17:00, the motto is sports around the clock again and everyone, big or small, can try out new sports.


Kulturerlebnis Stilles Hören

The students behind the event "Kulturerlebnis Stilles Hören" aim to create a platform for the deaf community and foster a broader understanding and increased awareness of this crucial topic.


Promo-Tour WM Saalbach 2025 Gruppe 1

Ski Austria enlisted three project groups from FH Kufstein Tirol to devise innovative concepts for a nationwide promotional tour spanning every federal state from March to November 2024. The tour aims to promote the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach 2025, with the presentation of ideas scheduled for December 11, 2023, in Saalbach.

Ski Austria enlisted three project groups from FH Kufstein Tirol to devise innovative concepts for a nationwide promotional tour spanning every federal state from March to November 2024. The tour aims to promote the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Saalbach 2025, with the presentation of ideas scheduled for December 11, 2023, in Saalbach.

Side-Events EFIM Winterschool

For the first time, students enrolled in the SKVM degree program will take charge of coordinating the side events for the EFIM Winterschool 2024 as part of their practical project. Two events are planned, offering participants the chance to forge new international friendships and discover the charms of Kufstein through engaging games, workshops, delightful cuisine, and an exhilarating torch-lit hike.


TASC-UAM

Embracing the theme of Race - Thrill - Party - Chill, the TASC-UAM (The Alpine Student Championship) is set to be organized once more by seven Bachelor students from the Sport, Culture & Event Management course. The event is scheduled for March 9, 2024, in Söll, Tyrol. Now in its 12th edition, TASC-UAM stands as the official university championship in alpine skiing and snowboarding.

Kontakt in die Zukunft

Kontakt in die Zukunft is a practical lecture presented in the format of a panel discussion that focuses on the future job market and provides exciting networking opportunities. The student group has extended invitations to various speakers from the sports, culture, and event industry to delve into topics such as opportunities, prospects, and much more.


Krone-Herzensmensch

The project Krone-Herzensmensch brings individuals who usually work behind the scenes into the spotlight, appreciating their significant contributions. In the first phase, the practical project group, as a partner of the Tiroler Krone, is responsible for acquiring participants. In the second phase, they take charge of planning and executing the gala for the award ceremony.


kubinight

As a part of kubinight, the student group arranges engaging activities centered around gaming and music, aiming to connect the Kufstein Library for Science & Leisure with young individuals aged between 12 and 14.


SKVM Social Media

The business project SKVM Social Media is tasked with overseeing the Instagram account fhkuf_sports.culture.events. The account regularly features posts covering the degree program, student life, business projects, semester abroad experiences, and other intriguing and enjoyable facts.

Diversity Matters

Diversity Matters – Students of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol give pupils at the primary school Kufstein-Stadt an insight into world religions in the form of workshops on religious symbolism, stories and images.


eCup Tirol

The eCup Tirol is a charity Mario Kart tournament at the FH Kufstein Tirol and powered by Festung Kufstein that focuses on games and fun. The proceeds raised in the tournament go to the Schritt für Schritt organization.

Studienerlebnis SKVM

The group project SCEM study experience - a research project focuses on the comprehensive evaluation of the Sports, Culture & Event Management Bachelor's degree programme, which can be completed both part-time and full-time. Our main focus is on the investigation and measurement of three central competences: methodological competence, social competence and professional competence, which are acquired during the course of the programme.

In order to determine the acquisition of these competences, the project group will conduct interviews with six focus group, each group consisting of six students. The responses given in these interviews will be transcribed and analysed in detail. The main goal of this research is to comprehensively evaluate the study experience of SCEM Bachelor students with regard to the competences mentioned.

This project is carried out by ten students of the part-time SKVM Master's programme.

The detailed analysis of the collected data will provide valuable insights into the study experience of SCEM Bachelor students. The findings of this evaluation will not only help to improve the effectiveness of the degree programme, but also provide future students with guidance and insights into the skills they can expect to acquire.

Kurzfilmfestival Kufstein

In November 2023, the sixth edition of the Kurzfilmfestival Kufstein unfolded. Featuring nine international films, the festival delved into cinematic interpretations of the theme Who Am I? - when the masks are stripped off.


Lektor Selektor

The yearly academic DJ extravaganza returned for another round, featuring a unique twist: professors took center stage behind the DJ booth while students reveled in and assessed the sounds of the academic rhythm and the show.


My Way

The student group orchestrated a series of interviews in a webinar format, featuring graduates from the SCEM and SKVM degree programs who have ventured into professional careers. These live-stream events offered a glimpse behind the scenes of the students' prospective dream jobs in sports, culture, and events.


Pop-up Events Innsbruck

The business project Pop-up Events Innsbruck seamlessly blended the traditional and modern facets of Tyrolean culture and sports with the theme Alpin-Urban. This was achieved through the organization of five diverse Pop-up Events in the historic old town of Innsbruck during September and October 2023.


Q+You

The business project Q+You aims to promote awareness of LGBTQIA+ issues in Kufstein and the surrounding area. The primary focus of the project for this winter semester was the coordination of the second Pride Parade in Kufstein on October 7, 2023, in collaboration with the Pride Tirol association and the city of Kufstein.
