Kufstein fortress

Kufstein’s landmark stands on Fortress Hill, an imposing crag that rises 90 meters above the city and lies directly on the River Inn. Kufstein itself lies 500 meters above sea level.

City Center Kufstein

With its 19,000 inhabitants, Kufstein is the second largest city in the Province of Tyrol. Kufstein lies directly on the border to Bavaria (Germany). The city has two modern shopping centers, numerous quaint shops, cozy restaurants, and unique cafés and bars.

Skiing Region Wilder Kaiser

Only 15 km away from Kufstein lies Austria’s largest interconnected ski region, the Wilder Kaiser ski area. The 91 lifts and 250 km of slopes guarantee endless fun for everyone.

Lakes for Water Sports

There are many picturesque lakes near Kufstein, for example, Hechtsee, Stimmersee, Thiersee, Hödenauer See. Each is worth a visit, regardless whether you just want to relax in the idyllic landscape or do some water sports like swimming or windsurfing.
