Through specialized continuing education programs, the International Business School at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol specifically prepares executives for the transformation of the automotive and mobility industries.
The automotive industry is undergoing a profound transformation: electric mobility, digital business models, and new mobility services are bringing about lasting changes to existing structures. It is therefore crucial for companies to develop leaders who not only understand this transformation but can also actively shape it.
This is precisely where the continuing education programs offered by the International Business School at FH Kufstein Tirol come in. Through the General Management MBA Focus Automotive & Mobility and the Automotive & Mobility Management certificate program, professionals and executives are specifically prepared to meet the requirements of the industries.
“‘Gas in the blood’ alone isn’t enough anymore,” says Prof. (FH) Dr. Kristina Kampfer, academic director of continuing education programs in the Automotive & Mobility division at Kufstein University of Applied Sciences in Tyrol. “Today’s executives must be able to efficiently manage existing business operations while simultaneously developing new, often digital, business models.”
FOCUS ON PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS AND CURRENT DEVELOPMENTS
At the heart of both programs is the integration of sound management knowledge with the specific challenges of the automotive and mobility industries. Topics such as electromobility, new sales models, and data-driven business approaches are firmly embedded in the curriculum.
A particular focus is placed on direct application in practice: Participants bring their own questions from their companies and use them to develop concrete solutions—ranging from new business models to the optimization of sales and customer processes.
TWO PROGRAMS FOR DIFFERENT CAREER LEVELS
The General Management MBA Focus Automotive & Mobility degree program is designed for experienced professionals and executives who wish to further their strategic development and take the next step in their careers toward top management. The part-time degree program begins in spring 2027 and lasts four semesters. It combines e-learning with compact in-person sessions held once a month on Fridays and Saturdays.
Participants in the automotive training programs expand their professional network during their training.
The Automotive & Mobility Management certificate program offers a more compact continuing education course for emerging leaders and professionals in the automotive retail sector and industry. The program will also begin in spring 2027, featuring monthly sessions (Fridays and Saturdays), and provides practical expertise in areas such as business-related topics, marketing, and sales processes.
“While the MBA provides an in-depth strategic understanding, the certificate program offers a concise and immediately applicable introduction to management topics,” said Kampfer.
COMPATIBILITY AND NETWORK
Both programs are specifically designed to be taken while working and, thanks to their blended-learning format, are good for balancing professional and personal life. The combination of online components and intensive on-campus sessions allows for flexible integration into the daily work routine.
In addition, participants benefit from interacting with professionals from various sectors of the industries—ranging from the automotive retail sector and manufacturing to mobility service providers. This fosters valuable networks and opens up new perspectives.
READY FOR THE INDUSTRY'S CHALLENGES
The requirements placed on executives in the mobility industry will continue to grow—particularly as they navigate the tension between technological innovation and organizational change.
“The key is to guide members of staff through change processes while simultaneously making strategic decisions based on data,” Kampfer emphasizes.
This is precisely where the programs at FH Kufstein Tirol come in: They not only impart up-to-date management knowledge, but also empower participants to actively and successfully help shape the transformation of the industries.
