After thorough review, AQ Austria has accredited the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol’s new bachelor degree program, allowing it to start this fall.

The accreditation process for the revised degree program Energy & Sustainability Management (formerly: Energy Business) is now complete. This allows the first cohort of students to embark upon their studies this fall, equipping them with essential and highly sought-after skills in today’s global job market.

Study to shape tomorrow’s world

Sustainability is an area of expertise constantly gaining in importance, especially in the energy industry. The bachelor degree program Energy & Sustainability Management is aimed at recent high school graduates with an ambition to play an innovative and creative role in climate protection and the energy transition, as well as at qualified specialists and tradespeople in the field. Key aspects of the degree program are sustainability and future mobility concepts, as well as digitization in the energy and sustainability sector. “If you want to actively shape the future and implement sustainability concepts and are interested in economically feasible and technically sound solutions, this degree program is the right choice for you. Nevertheless, we are not training technicians,” explains the Director of Studies of the new program, Asc. Prof. (FH) Dipl.-Ing. Christian Huber. “Their combined background in business management and technological issues puts our future graduates in a prime position to develop tomorrow’s products and services.”

High demand for experts in the field

The degree program has been revised with a view to recent changes in the industry, thus making the new program ideally suited to current demands in the job market. The revision of this program at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol ensures that it is in line the most recent trends and developments. It is certain to remain relevant long into the future, and its graduates will be highly sought-after in the industry. This is also confirmed by employers: “Experts are already in high demand in the sector, and because of ongoing diversification, I see a bright future for graduates in the job market and in the industry. The market will certainly need more and more skilled professionals in the coming years,” says the managing director of a municipal utility company who was involved in the revision of the curriculum.
