- Why did you choose the ERP Systems & Business Process Management Master's program? What made it special for you?
This program convinced me to attend through its balanced combination of economics and engineering with an emphasis on management disciplines. What struck me as special was the opportunity to understand and experience ERP systems first hand. On top of that, the demonstrative lessons made it very clear how management concepts can be realized within a company. Not only does the program provide you with a look behind the scenes when it comes to ERP systems, but it also provides an up-close experience of concepts, processes and programming. With my growing understanding of the field, my approach to solving problems both at work and at home changed.
- How do you reconcile working, studying and having a life?
Actually, it works surprisingly well. Apart from times when there were many exams, I did not have to limit my leisure activities. One exciting aspect of a part-time program is that you come across and can apply content that you have learned in college at the company you work for. This lead to some interesting conversations with co-workers and superiors as far as general improvements.
- What job opportunities opened up to you through studying here?
I changed employers while studying, and, because of my acquired management skills, got a position on a requirements management team. After some restructuring, I was offered a place on an SAP team in which I am currently responsible for the SAP module finance. I am convinced that without my degree, I would not have been given this job opportunity or would not have been able to perform well in it.
- What is your general impression of the degree program and the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences?
For me, this degree was exactly the right choice. Aside from the very competent and friendly lecturers, I got to know valuable fellow students who I maintain contact with even outside of school. I can only recommend this program to anybody interested in developing further in this sector, and I also want to recommend the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences as a whole.
My conclusion in one sentence: If I went back in time and had to choose a degree program again, I would go for the program at the Kufstein University of Applied Sciences again.
