Celebrating Our Graduates
The festive graduation ceremony is the highlight of any student’s academic journey, but also a joyful event for the entire faculty of the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. This year’s ceremonies were celebrated in hybrid form on September 16, 17, and 24. In sum, more than 1,300 guests and 320 graduates attended the events. In a festive ceremony, graduates were personally awarded their diplomas by their Director of Studies and the Rectorate.
A Final Get-Together on Campus
Come graduation day, the efforts associated with intense academic study fade into the background and are replaced by sense of achievement and joy. In the course of eight separate ceremonies, Prof. (FH) Dr. Mario Döller, Rector of the University of Applied Sciences, and Prof. (FH) Dr. Michael Kohlegger, Vice Rector, bid farewell to graduates in their speeches and awarded them their diplomas. “I look forward to this special event every single year and am thrilled to see the many happy and contented faces of our most recent graduates in both the bachelor’s and master’s programs. It is a beautiful and touching moment when I say goodbye to these former students of ours and can award them their degrees as a final confirmation of their academic achievement,” said Prof. (FH) Dr. Mario Döller, Rector of the University of Applied Sciences. “The festivities also a welcome opportunity to celebrate our graduates and to raise a glass in a toast to their successful graduation,” said Prof. (FH) Dr. Michael Kohlegger, Vice Rector.
Festivities With a Premium on Sustainability
This year’s graduation ceremony was once again organized as a sustainable event and awarded the quality seal Green Event Tirol. “We are dedicated to the idea of sustainability and determined to constantly develop our operations in order to protect our climate and to instill an awareness for sustainability in each individual. This is particularly important when it comes to events, where it is possible to communicate this conviction on a more emotional level, be it to our guests, students, or our own staff,” said Mag. Thomas Petzold, Event Manager at The University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.
