The INNterconnect organizing team.
Culture knows no boundaries - at least not in the Inn Valley. With INNterconnect, a vibrant network is taking shape for creatives from Tyrol and Bavaria, putting connection, hands-on collaboration, and real partnerships front and center - and FH Kufstein Tirol is actively helping to shape this process.
On June 8, 2026, the INNterconnect networking event took place at the Stellwerk18 startup center in Rosenheim. Around 45 cultural practitioners from across the Inn Valley - stretching from Innsbruck to Wasserburg - came together to develop practical project ideas, share experiences, and kick off concrete cross-border collaborations between Tyrol and Bavaria. The event was funded as a Euregio EU project under the Interreg Bavaria–Austria program and was organized and hosted by FH Kufstein Tirol and the Cultural Affairs Office of Rosenheim District.
The networking meeting was defined by openness, curiosity, and mutual appreciation — the ideal starting point for creatives.

The participants reflected the full breadth of the regional cultural scene: students, amateurs, independent artists, and established professionals from fine arts, literature, film, design, cultural administration, and the creative industries. Among those present were the operators of the H3cke Makerspace Rosenheim, glass artist Florian Lechner - who has realized projects for the Bavarian State Parliament - and Anna Ladinig, Director of the International Film Festival Innsbruck. Many other initiatives and individual practitioners from both countries took the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas.
New Formats for Visibility and Creative Infrastructure
The event was clearly focused on networking and tangible outcomes. Following brief keynote impulses, workshops covered joint event formats, cross-border visibility, and the use and accessibility of creative infrastructure in the region. Within the groups, initial shared action ideas emerged - including a pilot event series to be held at rotating venues throughout the Inn Valley, joint social media formats, and approaches to making better use of existing spaces and studios. Several working groups arranged follow-up meetings and informal collaboration talks in the near future.
The added value of in-person connection became particularly clear: the facilitated formats created space for quickly forming project partnerships, which were then presented and prioritized in the plenary session. Students from FH Kufstein Tirol documented the results for the INNterconnect Instagram channel and also brought a Generation Z perspective to the discussions - including ideas around digital formats and new ways of engaging audiences.
The organizers - Anke Hellmann, Head of Cultural Affairs at Rosenheim District, and Bert Neumeister, Professor in the Bachelor's program in Marketing & Communication Management at FH Kufstein Tirol - agree that the launch event was a full success: "The networking meeting was defined by openness, curiosity, and mutual appreciation - the ideal starting point for creatives." The professional exchange will now continue digitally: the Kulturatlas Bayern will serve as the central hub for ongoing networking, making project ideas, events, and contact information visible across borders.
INNterconnect is designed as a low-threshold networking project that connects encounter, practice, and education. Funding through Interreg Bavaria-Austria 2021-2027 ensures cross-border collaboration as part of a long-term Euregio initiative.
