Beaming faces: female graduates at the graduation ceremony at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol.
Hurray, we did it! On Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20, 2025, a total of 324 graduates from 24 degree programs were honored at a ceremony at the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. The graduation ceremonies featured emotional speeches, pride, and unforgettable moments for everyone involved.
With festive music, proud faces, and moving moments, the University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol bid farewell to its graduates at the 2025 graduation ceremonies. In a total of five ceremonies, the graduates received their academic degrees – accompanied by approximately 1,300 guests who joined them in celebrating this special milestone.
The graduates' ceremonial entrance into the auditorium was accompanied by music and applause. After a welcome by the presenters Yvonne Kestermann, BSc, and Mag. (FH) Sara Neubauer, a humorous film was shown featuring exchange students conveying their congratulations in their native languages.
INSPIRATION FROM UNIVERSITY MANAGEMENT AND COURSE DIRECTORS
The speeches given by the university management set a special tone. On Friday, Vice Rector Prof. (FH) Dr. Claudia van der Vorst, MBA, reminded the audience: “In a world full of algorithms, we must not lose our humanity.” On Saturday, Rector Prof. (FH) PD Dr. Mario Döller addressed the festive gathering. He encouraged the graduates to face the future with courage: “Be open to change, because it is the engine of growth – in a world that feels like it is spinning faster than ever before.”

The program directors also shared personal messages. Prof. (FH) DDr. Mario Situm emphasized the responsibility to actively shape transformations, while Prof. (FH) Dr. Peter Dietrich highlighted the value of team spirit and mutual support: “Be the person you would choose to be on your own team.” Asc. Prof. (FH) Dipl.-Ing. Christian Huber recalled the shared journey through highs and lows and advised the graduates: “Live the change you long for.”
EMOTIONAL VOICES OF THE GRADUATES
A particular highlight was the students' closing speeches. They ranged from long nights of studying and challenging exams to friendships that will last a lifetime. “We have not only gained knowledge, but also memories that will stay with us for the rest of our lives,” said one speaker, summing up the mood. Humorous references to legendary lectures and unforgettable moments of leisure brought smiles to the audience and once again highlighted how formative their time together had been.

As part of the academic oath, the graduates promised to use their knowledge responsibly and contribute to the good of society. The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the certificates by the rector, vice-rector, and program directors. Each ceremony came to a dignified close with the traditional Gaudeamus igitur and the departure of the newly minted academics.
GRADUATES' PERSONAL IMPRESSIONS
Off stage, too, the new graduates were enthusiastic. In conversations on the sidelines of the celebrations, Benedikt Kahn, Bachelor of Facility Management & Real Estate Management, praised the special atmosphere: “Not only did I learn an incredible amount here, but I also made friends for life. I will miss this familiar, friendly environment.”

Teresa Richter, Bachelor of Business Administration, emphasized the close contact with the teaching staff: “The open relationship and personal support made my studies unique.” Both were also impressed by the festive atmosphere of the graduation ceremony, which made completing their studies an unforgettable experience.

The graduation ceremonies in 2025 impressively demonstrated how important this moment is in the lives of students and their families. They marked not only the end of an intensive period of study, but also the beginning of new paths. The graduates now look to their future with confidence, curiosity, and gratitude—well prepared and supported by the values of Kufstein University.
